Vancouver, British Columbia — June 6, 2013 — Cardinal Health will help attendees of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging’s (SNMMI) 60th Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, test their knowledge of best practices.
Cardinal Health is one of the nation’s leading distributors of radiopharmaceuticals, which, when injected into patients, are used to detect and treat illnesses like heart disease, cancer and brain disorders. Through its broad nationwide network of positron emission tomography (PET) biomarker manufacturing facilities and radiopharmacies, Cardinal Health delivers these time-sensitive radiopharmaceuticals to hundreds of imaging centers and hospital nuclear medicine departments across the United States. The company also offers an array of business and practice management tools that help these customers run their nuclear medicine practices more safely, more profitably and more accurately.
The company recently commissioned a survey of a group of diverse, leading nuclear medicine professionals to identify best demonstrated practices in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The goal of this research was to identify the best practices that empower nuclear medicine departments to deliver the highest quality, most cost-effective patient care.
SNMMI attendees can visit Cardinal Health booth #1512 on Sunday, June 9 at 11:30 to learn more about the survey’s key findings, and how they can better prepare for the shift to accountable care and pay-for-performance. Booth visitors can participate in a fast-paced, interactive video game that will test their knowledge of best demonstrated practices in nuclear medicine to learn where their facility can gain the biggest benefits in areas like prior authorization, patient experience, radiation safety and more.
SNMMI attendees are also invited to check out Cardinal Health’s photo booth. Attendees can have their photo taken and share a story about how they make possibilities possible for patients every day. For every photo taken in the photo booth at SNMMI 2013, Cardinal Health will donate $5 to Ronald McDonald House of British Columbia. Cardinal Health will use photos taken at the booth to create an inspiring piece of artwork that will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of British Colombia.
SNMMI attendees can also stop by the Cardinal Health booth to learn more about the company’s innovative partnerships with some of the nation’s foremost nuclear medicine thought leaders, and about the company’s commitment to the future of molecular imaging.
