DUBLIN, Ohio, June 13, 2012 — Cardinal Health today announced that it is a winner of the seventh annual Performance Award and Diversity Award presented by the Premier healthcare alliance.
Cardinal Health was named a winner of the Performance Award from the hospital-owned performance improvement alliance of 2,600 hospitals and 84,000 other care sites contracting with more than 800 suppliers. Winners are recognized for their outstanding management of Premier agreements and drive toward the mutual goal of providing clinical and financial value to Premier alliance members.
Cardinal Health also received the 2012 Premier Diversity Award, an annual award recognizing a Premier contracted supplier for efforts to purchase goods and services from Premier contracted diverse suppliers, as well as develop procurement strategies aligned with the communities they serve. Winners are acknowledged for embracing supplier diversity, diversity education and awareness, diversity communications and accountability, and best practices sharing.

Cardinal Health accepted the award at Premier’s 2012 Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition in Nashville, Tenn. The award ceremony was held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center on June 7.
