DUBLIN, Ohio, Feb. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardinal Health today announced the launch of its new line of standard diagnostic procedure trays designed to help increase efficiencies and minimize waste in acute drainage, biopsy and basic diagnostic procedures.
The new trays include the essential clinical supplies needed for each diagnostic procedure, reducing the amount of time clinicians spend organizing supplies for procedures and the amount of waste remaining after them, including unused items. Standard diagnostic procedure trays are available for the following seven procedures: lumbar puncture, myelogram, arthrogram, amniocentesis, paracentesis/thoracentesis, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy, and soft tissue biopsy. Upon customer request, custom kits can also be designed for other procedures.
"Based on customer feedback, we designed our diagnostic procedure trays to include the supplies clinicians need for diagnostic procedures – nothing more, nothing less," said Lisa Ashby, president of Category Management at Cardinal Health. "We know how important it is to have the right product for the right procedure at the right time, and these trays are designed to increase efficiencies and minimize waste."
