9th Annual Founder’s Award Recipients Exemplify Company’s Core Values

DUBLIN, Ohio, May 24, 2011 — Cardinal Health recently recognized five employees with the Robert D. Walter Founder’s Award, the company’s most prestigious employee honor.  

Cardinal Health employs more than 30,000, worldwide, and nearly 250 employees were nominated by their co-workers for this year’s Founder’s Award. Employees are nominated based on extraordinary actions and daily deeds that exemplify Cardinal Health’s core values, which include having an optimistic spirit, commitment to customers and accountability, among others.

This year’s five honorees join 30 other employees who have earned this award, which is now celebrating its ninth year. Chairman and former CEO Robert D. Walter, the award’s namesake, was the first recipient in 2002. 

Walter, Cardinal Health chairman and CEO George Barrett and other senior executives recognized this year’s award winners at a special dinner and award ceremony, held May 4 at the company’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.

The 2011 Founder’s Award Recipients have not only embraced Cardinal Health’s core values, but have also led by example in their current roles:

  • Rosemary Gonzales, Contracting & Pricing (Albuquerque, N.M.)  
  • Robyn Maslouski, Human Resource Services (Dublin, Ohio)
  • Willie Hall, Warehouse Operations, Medical (Earth City, Mo.)  
  • Boyd Olson, Materials Management, Nuclear Pharmacy (Kent, Wash.)  
  • Susan Jackson, Operations, Specialty Group (La Vergne, Tenn.)
