Premier Awards Cardinal Health New Contract for Custom Procedure Trays, Packs and Gowns

McGaw Park, Ill., January 20, 2006 – Cardinal Health, Inc., (NYSE: CAH), the leading provider of products and services supporting the health-care industry, was recently awarded a new three-year national agreement to provide custom procedure trays, packs, gowns and related items to members of Premier, one of the nation’s largest health-care group purchasing organizations. Cardinal Health estimates that Premier members will spend about $965 million over the course of the agreement.

 

 

The three-year multi-source contract will give Premier’s nearly 1,500 hospital members access to the industry’s broadest range of packs and trays with Cardinal Health’s Presource™ products and services. Premier members can also obtain a full range of surgical drapes, gowns and other protective apparel through Cardinal Health’s Convertors® product portfolio.
