DUBLIN, Ohio, July 17, 2006 -- Cardinal Health, Inc. (NYSE: CAH), the leading provider of products and services supporting the health-care industry, today announced it has signed two non-exclusive agreements with Premier to provide a variety of kits to Premier’s hospital and health-care system members. Both agreements run for three years beginning August 1, 2006. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the first agreement, Cardinal Health will manufacture and distribute nearly 100 configurations of standard Operating Room basin, suture removal, and laceration kits to Premier’s members.
As part of the second agreement, Cardinal Health will manufacture and distribute standard and custom personal care kits including non-sterile admission, pediatric and amenities kits. The company will provide 22 types of standard kits.
'These two contracts are a great complement to the custom kitting contract that we have with Premier,' said Jeff Blair, Cardinal Health’s vice president of marketing for Presource. 'This will allow us to more effectively build customer-focused programs using our full range of kitting solutions with the Premier membership.'
