Cardinal Health Names Linda Harty Senior Vice President and Treasurer
01/11/2005

DUBLIN, Ohio, Jan. 11, 2005 – Cardinal Health, Inc. (NYSE: CAH), the leading provider of products and services supporting the health care industry, today named Linda S. Harty as senior vice president and treasurer, effective Jan. 24. Ms. Harty, who since 2003 has been senior vice president and chief financial officer of RTM Restaurant Group, will report to Chief Financial Officer Michael Losh.

In this role, Harty, 44, will be responsible for Cardinal Health’s capital structure, financing activities, risk management, credit evaluation, domestic and international treasury operations and corporate tax. At RTM Restaurant Group, a privately held, Atlanta-based operator of approximately 900 restaurants in 24 states, Ms. Harty handled corporate finance and strategic planning, merger-and-acquisition, and tax and accounting responsibilities.

Previously, she served as vice president and treasurer of BellSouth Corp. and held similar posts at ConAgra Inc. Before that, she spent 16 years with Kimberly-Clark Corp., where she held a variety of financial-related leadership positions, including assistant treasurer and liability-management officer.

"Linda’s strong financial background and experience working with senior management at several large corporations enable her to bring the type of leadership we sought for such a critical function at Cardinal Health,” said Losh. “She will be an important addition to our global management team.”

Ms. Harty holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in finance and a minor in economics. She also studied accounting at Georgia State University and passed the CPA exam in November 1991.
