Cardinal Health Awarded Multi-year Surgical Glove Contract with Novation

DUBLIN, Ohio, Oct. 29, 2009 — Cardinal Health today announced that it has signed a three-year, multi-source surgical glove supply agreement with Novation, one of the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations.

Under the terms of the agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2010, Cardinal Health will become a provider of surgical gloves to more than 25,000 members and affiliates of VHA and University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) and more than 15,000 Provista members.

“Cardinal Health has built a solid partnership with Novation through our product and service offerings across a wide range of product categories, and we look forward to partnering with their members in yet another capacity,” said Tom Kapfer, president of the medical supply chain businesses for Cardinal Health. “Our innovative gloving solutions offer Novation’s members the ultimate combination of protection and comfort for a wide variety of different surgical procedures and personal preferences."
