Cardinal Health named finalist in Fast Company’s 2024 Innovation by Design Awards

Cardinal Health’s SmartGown™ EDGE Breathable Surgical Gown was named a finalist for Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards, which honor designers and businesses aiming to solve a problem, improve a product or help people, companies and industries push themselves to be better. In their 13^th year, the Awards showcase a wide variety of industries and businesses, including blue-chip companies, emerging startups and young talent.

There are 50 categories for the Innovation by Design Awards. The Health category – in which Cardinal Health was named a finalist – honors products, services and environments designed to improve people’s health and solve problems in the healthcare industry. Invented by Mayo Clinic surgeons and designed in collaboration with Cardinal Health, SmartGown™ EDGE is the first surgical gown with instrument pockets helping to provide safety and efficiency in the operating room.
