Living and leading intentionally

Michelle Greene, Cardinal Health’s chief information officer, recently gave a TEDx Talk at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where she shared that she is continually intentional both about how she lives and how she leads. Four pillars guide her, she said: Understanding her passion, focusing her energy, owning her power, and standing in her truth.

When you’re passionate about developing yourself, she noted, that translates to developing others, too, bringing others along with you as you climb.

Living and leading intentionally requires self-awareness and discipline, Greene said. “I have been  intentional about life choices, and with each conscious and intentional step, I’ve become stronger as a person and as a leader.”

Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Greene was CIO and VP of IT for Masco Corporation and spent nearly a decade with Johnson Controls, serving in several executive positions, including VP of IT. She has received numerous awards, including the Top 25 Most Influential Black Women of Business, and is an active member of multiple non-profit boards.
