Cardinal Health has issued a voluntary recall for two lots of Protexis™ Surgical Gloves distributed between August 4, 2021 and February 25, 2022. A portion of the affected product lots were shipped from the manufacturing plant to a Cardinal Health distribution center without undergoing sterilization in August 2021. The quantity impacted represents less than 1% of U.S. annual demand.
There have been no reported adverse patient injury events. Our top priority is the safety of patients and healthcare workers. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Cardinal Health has notified all customers that may have received these lot numbers during the timeframe that the impacted lots were distributed with instructions to:
- REVIEW inventory for the affected product code and lot(s).
- SEGREGATE and quarantine all affected product upon review of inventory
- CONTACT Cardinal Health if you received ProtexisPI and PI Classic, Surgical Gloves (SKU 2D72PL65X; lot TS21050195 and SKU 2D72PT65X; lot TS21050215).
- NOTIFY any customers to whom you may have distributed or forwarded affected product about this product correction notice.
- RETURN the enclosed acknowledgment form via fax to 614-652-9648 or email to gmb-fieldcorrectiveaction@cardinalhealth.com, whether or not you have affected product.
